CA - Shane Hammett is named Executive Chef at Amber
Bistro in Danville, California. "I am very excited to bring
my style of refined wine country cuisine to the East Bay."
says Hammett, a graduate of the California Culinary Academy
in San Francisco. Hammett defines his style of cooking as beginning
with food from regions of the world with a wine making history,
adding modern techniques in preparation and seasonal local ingredients
to create his own innovative dishes.
Owner
Eric Janssen, a certified sommelier, says "We anticipate
the seamless marriage of our extensive wine list with Shane's
considerable cooking talent to create the perfect dining experience
for our guests. We are very excited to have Shane on board and
look forward to the creative direction of the restaurant in
the new year."
Earthy
hues, dark wood, warm lighting and a wall of windows create
a relaxed and inviting backdrop for your meal. Amber's contemporary

Shane Hammett
Mr. Hammett is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Program
at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. He joins
Amber Bistro after leaving Zinnia in San Francisco, which he
helped to open in 2008. Previously Mr. Hammett held the position
of Sous Chef at the Napa Valley Grille in Yountville, California
and at the Blackhawk Grille in Danville, California. Mr. Hammett
also worked at Etoîle, the Restaurant at Domain Chandon
in Yountville, California.
